A late arrival into Nashville Airport made an airport hotel the best choice for my first night. Unfortunately, there are no Category 1-4 hotels in downtown Nashville for which you can use your credit card award certificates. My stay at this hotel was truly remarkable. From the friendly and helpful front desk staff to the skilled and welcoming bartender, every interaction was a delight. The valet service made parking hassle-free, and the housekeeping team kept everything pristine.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.7 for a two-person trip. Cribs and extra beds aren't available at this property. Location was perfect, very nice place. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant as well. We are focused on connecting travelers to the most relevant deals.

Located on the Penthouse floor of Holston House in downtown Nashville, Heirloom Rooftop is the place to experience midair mixers and mingling with city skyline views, craft cocktails, and uniquely inspired bites. It has a large sink and shower on one side, with the toilet and a separate sink across the entry. The large, overhead shower was fantastic. What I’m not sold on still is the use of barn doors for bathrooms.

The Holton was beautiful and the aroma when you walk in was inviting and relaxing. The room was beautiful and the view was so nice. This air-conditioned quadruple room includes a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The hotel’s 191 rooms and suites are more subtlety designed, with neutral colors and blue accents. Behind the leather headboards are wall coverings representing sound waves. The two Penthouse suites are the most luxurious, with in-room bars and patio spaces overlooking the Nashville skyline.

These are slightly bigger than the standard rooms, and the nicest room type short of a suite. The Holston House Nashville is half a block off Broadway, just a couple blocks away from where the honky tonks begin. You’re also in very close proximity to Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The Gulch is a bit further, but still close.

The use of an armoire rather than a closet by some modern hotels has grown on me. I actually hung up some of my shirts and my jackets, which is rare for a one-night stay. The atmosphere is casual but at a recent dinner there, the food went well beyond expectations — a restaurant worth visiting whether or not staying at the hotel. Downstairs from the lobby, Bar Tenn is a comfortable place to grab coffee during the day and cocktails or wine in the evening. For a boutique hotel, the Holston House offers a great fitness center. There are multiple treadmills and bikes, plus a couple machines and a set of free weights. I’ve been much better the past several months about keeping an exercise regimen while traveling. I really appreciate well-equipped hotel gyms.
